Indirect Esthetic Dentistry Course in Huntersville, NC

Today’s modern materials and techniques provide opportunities for every dentist to increase their practice with indirect restorative treatment. Learn functional and esthetic dental rehabilitation as well as elective cosmetic in this two day hands-on course at The Nash Institute. This course is designed for dentists with all levels of experience in indirect procedures.

Preparation and placement techniques for various materials will be covered and hands-on exercises on teeth will be performed by each participant. Diagnosis, treatment planning, case set up, impression taking, provisionalization, lab communication, step-by-step placement and follow up procedures will be demonstrated and discussed in study club format.

Course Description:

This course is designed for dentists seeking to learn new techniques and refine their skills in indirect esthetic restorations with a focus on achieving optimal anterior esthetics. Participants will explore the principles of smile design, color matching, and material selection while mastering techniques for veneers, ceramic crowns, inlays and onlays and other minimally invasive restorative solutions.

Through a combination of lectures, hands-on typodont training and case studies, attendees will learn how to integrate digital and analog workflows for precise and natural looking outcomes. The course will cover key topics such as tooth preparation, bonding protocols, layering techniques and the latest advancements in ceramic materials. Patient consultation, treatment planning and presentation will be discussed during this program.

By the end of this course, participants will have the confidence to deliver high-quality esthetic restorations that enhance both function and beauty, ensuring predictable and long-lasting results for their patients.

  • Understand Indirect Esthetic Principles. Develop or refresh the understanding of indirect esthetic restorations, including veneers, inlays, onlays and crowns.
  • Material Selection. Identify and evaluate different materials used in indirect restorations, such as ceramics, composite, and metal- free options.
  • Tooth Preparation Techniques. Master tooth preparation techniques for various indirect restorations to achieve optimal function and esthetics.
  • Shade Matching and Customization. Enhance skills in shade selection and customization to achieve natural looking esthetic outcomes.
  • Laboratory Communication. Develop effective communication skills with dental laboratories.
  • Cementation and Adhesive Protocols – Gain proficiency in bonding cementation, and adhesive protocols to maximize restoration longevity.
